General information about the archive collections of the Van Batenborgh Foundation, The Netherlands

The present  collection contains 35 meters of documents and charters, covering a period of  the 15th until the 20th century.

De archive collections of members of the (Van) Batenburg and Van Basten Batenburg family have been splitted up over the years. With the erection in 2001 of the Van Batenborgh Foundation in Groenlo we have brought together the collections again. By describing the content of these archives we made these accessible for historians and interested family members.
The collection photo's and paintings has fallen apart too. A selection has been recollected in the pictures-collection.

The major part of the collections have been placed in the Geldrian Archives in Arnhem in the Netherlands ('Gelders Archief').

In this way the archives are well conserved and accessible for a larger public.
